Dedicated Bus Service for St Ursula’s College Students
Starting in 2026, St Ursula’s College is excited to introduce a dedicated student bus service with convenient stops in Oakey, Kingsthorpe, and Gowrie Junction.
This exclusive transport option is available only to enrolled students, offering a safe, reliable, and community-oriented journey to and from the College each school day.

St Monica's Oakey
From the start of 2026, St Ursula’s College will run a bus from St Monica’s Catholic Primary School in Oakey to transport any student enrolled at the College into school and back home in the afternoon.
Whilst we find our feet with the service, the bus will be free of charge for its first year of operation, with an expected fee in 2027 of no more than a cup of coffee per ride.
Details:
• Students enrolled at St Ursula’s College for 2026 can secure a seat on the bus.
• The bus will depart from St Monica’s Catholic Primary School at approximately 7.30 am. The route will include a stop in Kingsthorpe and Gowrie Junction, before arriving at St Ursula’s College.
• The bus will depart in the afternoon around 3.15 pm, and return home the same way, delivering students to St Monica’s Catholic Primary School around 4.00 pm.
• To access the service, families will be asked to secure a seat on the bus. In 2026, there will be no cost for this service. It is anticipated that in 2027, the cost of the service will be charged as a lump sum per term and will equate to less than a cup of coffee per ride.
• There will be a limit to the number of seats and so we will operate on a first in, first served process, prioritizing in the first place, enrolments from St Monica’s Catholic Primary School, as well as our current families from Oakey.
If you have a daughter in Year 5 or 6, and you are interested in enrolling at St Ursula’s College, and securing a seat on our bus, please ensure you have completed an application form, as soon as possible, especially for 2026, indicating your interest in securing a seat on the bus. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out and speak directly with Mrs Lisa McKellar, PA to the Principal and Enrolment Officer.
