St Ursula’s College is delighted to provide a variety of scholarships tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Applications for Academic, Sporting and Cultural Scholarships will re-open early 2025.
St Ursula’s College offers scholarships across academic, sporting, and cultural areas to foster a well-rounded student body and promote excellence in diverse fields. By recognizing and rewarding talents in various domains, we encourage students to pursue their passions and develop a broad range of skills.
This approach creates a vibrant and inclusive community where students can thrive. Additionally, such scholarships provide opportunities for students from different backgrounds to access quality education, thereby promoting equity and diversity within the school environment.
St Ursula's College conducts a comprehensive annual Scholarship Program, offering financial grants to selected students based on either academic, sporting or cultural fields.
A scholarship will provide a reduction in tuition fees and where relevant, boarding fees will be considered. Scholarships will be for the duration of either two or three years. Each scholarship awarded is at the discretion of the Principal and may vary from year to year.
Scholarship recipients at St Ursula's College Toowoomba are required to finish their secondary education, maintain attendance, uphold high academic and behavioural standards, and actively and positively engage in all facets of College life, encompassing the co-curricular program. The successful recipients of a scholarship would be expected to represent the College in their chosen field, as well as giving back in their chosen field through support of other students.
The progress of each scholarship recipient in the College, as well as their contribution to the broader College community, will be evaluated annually. Failing to meet the established criteria at the review checkpoint will result in the discontinuation of scholarship funding. Students are not permitted to hold multiple scholarships and / or bursaries simultaneously.
If you have any questions in relation to the scholarship application process please email scholarships@st-ursula.qld.edu.au or telephone on (07) 4631 0870.
Academic Scholarships have already been finalised for 2025, following the scholarship exams conducted in late Term One 2024. At the time of publishing this information, they have been issued under old guidelines and successful applicants have received financial assistance for a period of two years. The condition of these scholarships remains as per the agreement signed by those parties.
In 2025, the College is considering the way in which academic scholarships will be progressed and further information will be provided when this is available.

*DISCLAIMER – As noted above, students and their families are welcome to apply for a scholarship. The minimum requirement within each of the applications only qualifies your daughter to be considered for a scholarship. The College, through the Principal, will determine from those eligible, who will be offered a scholarship. There are finite number of scholarships that can be offered across any one year.
The Principal will make the final decision. Any appeal would follow the normal processes for a complaint as outlined on the College website.
At St Ursula’s College, we uphold our Catholic values by offering means-tested bursaries for families facing financial difficulties. These bursaries are awarded annually at the Principal’s discretion, and students cannot hold multiple scholarships or bursaries simultaneously.
Our Fee Financial Assistance Program is designed to help young women whose families might not otherwise afford a St Ursula’s College education. This assistance can be in the form of a bursary or an extended payment arrangement.
A commitment to the Catholic and Ursuline Tradition is essential, demonstrated through positive behaviour, high attendance, and active participation in the College’s co-curricular and spiritual life.
The program is open to both prospective and current families, ensuring students can start or continue their education at St Ursula’s College. It is an annual, means-tested, application-based program requiring families to meet eligibility criteria and sign a statutory declaration.
Applications for Bursaries can be submitted via email to businessmanagerstursulas@twb.catholic.edu.au.
The IYLP is a scholarship opportunity for our young First Nations students in partnership with the Smith Family. St Ursula’s College is the ONLY school in Southern Queensland approved for this collaboration.
It is available to First Nations students across Years 7 to 10 (new/continuing students). Applications are due in May of each year for the following year.
Families should note that these scholarships are determined by The Smith Family. Following the application process, which will include an interview, successful applicants will be notified by The Smith Family.
The Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) offers scholarships and leadership opportunities to young Indigenous Australians, with a focus on Indigenous youth from communities in very remote areas of the country or regional communities.
IYLP is funded by the National Indigenous Australians Agency and The Smith Family was selected to be an IYLP Partnership Broker.
The IYLP supports scholarships for Indigenous students to attend approved secondary schools – day and boarding, government and non–government.
In addition to helping Indigenous students achieve their educational aspirations, the IYLP supports the development of a pool of positive role models and future leaders, to inspire other Indigenous students and illustrate the successes that can be achieved through educational attainment.
